*Why are my prices listed here MUCH cheaper than what is shown on my Thumbtack profile?
If you contact me here through my website or text me or book through my Calendly link, there is no fee I have to pay when you do that.
Howerver, Thumbtack charges Pros like me every time a potential customer contacts us by booking a job or even just requesting more info from us. Currently, the minimum fee I have to pay is $8/contact. The current minimum weekly cost of customer leads is $35. This means I could potentially pay over $140/month in fees for people to contact me. These minimums have gone up quite a bit since I started on Thumbtack in late 2023.
When I am active on Thumbtack, I set my prices based on the average percentage of customers I've booked, out of those that contact me. Currently, I only book about 25% of the customers that reach out to me. So, for example, if I am contacted by 8 people in a month, it costs me a minimum of $64 in fees. According to my monthly average, I only book 2 of those customers. Each of those customers essentially pays for their own $8 to contact me, but also an additional amount to help cover the cost of all the people that contacted me but didn't end up booking an appointment.
I do adjust these prices on a rolling three month average, which is why you might see fluxuations on Thumbtack.
Disclaimer:
Fees are permitted by Public Notaries in the state of KS but not required by state law or regulation. Fees will be agreed upon before the notarial act is performed.
In MO, per RS Mo. 486.685, a notary may charge the maximum fee, charge less than the max, or waive the fee specified in that section. A notary may charge a travel fee as long as the fee has been agreed upon in advance of the travel and the notary explains that the travel fee is separate from the notarial fees prescribed in Section 2 of that Revised Statute.
