Remote Online Notarization (RON)
Don't want to travel to a notaray OR have one come to your house or meet you somewhere? Then Remote Online Notarizations are perfect for you! A RON is the same process as seeing a traditional notary, but instead uses two-way audio-video technology through the internet. You need to be able to use and have access to your phone's or computer's audio-visual capabilities (such as a front facing camera or webcam). It's safe, secure, and fast!
Emergency Notarization
I can provide immediate, same day notarization of documents at no extra cost if between the hours of 7am - 9pm if I am otherwise unoccupied. This service is available outside of traditional business hours, including evenings, weekends, and even some holidays. If needed outside the above hours, there is a small convenience fee. Group Notarizations
Some groups, such as HOA members, might need their signatures notarized on a document or petition. Not all members have to be present at the same time to get their signatures notarized. I can set up shop at a location for an hour or two, or several blocks of time, and have members come to me. Instead of per signature, I may charge a flat rate per hour, depending on the size of the group. Simple and convenient for everyone!
Passport Applications
In the United States, Passport applications for a child (Form DS-3053) must be notarized. In some cases, other passport documents may need notarized, such as a noncitizen requesting a copy of their passport from an Embassy located in the U.S.
I-9 Identity Verification
Perfect for those onboarding for a work from home or "work anywhere" job. I can be contacted by either an employer or employee to arrange a meeting to verify the forms of identification required. The Form I-9 is NOT notarized.
USPS Form 1583 - Application for Delivery of Mail Through Agent
This form needs to be notarized if you wish to use a virtual mailbox service. It authorizes your service provider to receive and open your mail on your behalf to be scanned digitally. This allows you to check your mail from anywhere in the world!
Certified Copies
It's fast and easy to certify that a copy of a document is a true copy. When we meet, you will need to have the original and the copy so that I can compare them.
What CAN'T Be Notarized in the Kansas City area?
- A document with blank spaces. These can be filled in/crossed out ahead of time or as we are signing. If they are not, I will refuse services and still require my travel fee.
- A document that does not contain a notarial certificate AND the signer cannot or will not instruct me on which type of notarial certificate is required. If you need one of my blank certificates and do not know which to choose, it is best to ask the person requesting you to notarize the document. Generally, it will be a jurat, acknowledgment, or an oath/affirmation.
- Certifying a copy of a vital record, such as a birth certificate, which is against the law. All certified copies of a vital record must be obtained from the government office that first issued it. If someone requests that you "get a copy of your birth certificate notarized" they most likely mean they want your notarized affirmation that the document is a true and correct copy, which I *CAN* do.
You can find more info on what can't be notarized HERE.
